Continents.

We were on the listening end of a lecture tonight, after dinner. There were a bunch of “first of all“s and “second of all“s and that was all normal. Then we heard this:

Continent is a brief word for …. paper.   Kind of.

We were confused, so in an effort to clarify, I asked, “what is a continent?”

CONTINENT MOM!  Continents are words to describe horses, bears, cows and other animals.

Me, grasping at straws: So, NOT a vowel?

Right.  Not a vowel.  A CONTINENT.
