Stop. Christmas. Stop. Celebrations. Stop Leaving.

Natalie is awake. It is 5:15 a.m. and she is in nuclear meltdown mode, which is appropriate since her brother, the Navy Nuclear Dept Guy is leaving today to go back to his ship. She hasn’t shown any huge signs of emotions about him other than screaming with joy the whole day he got home. So I suppose it is only fair she will scream with despair all of today. 😦

We’ve had a wonderful visit with him. He’ll be back after Christmas since he never got leave all of 2011, but somehow it feels like he is going away for years instead of weeks.

Love these four kids!!

Her despair began early on Saturday when she refused to get in the pictures. She decided to go to her room instead.

It is 5:36 a.m. and she just came out from her room and announced we are:

1. moving,

2. never having Thanksgiving or Christmas again,

3. she will never see him AGAIN, and Sean is never coming home again. Ever.

4.  No-one is getting any presents or buying any presents either!

Interesting plan to deal with missing him.  I think I’ll just cry all the way home from the airport and get a coffee – you know, to cope. Sip. Sniff. Sip. Sniff. Sip. Sniff. Waaaah!

He’s a great guy and we look forward to him coming home for a bit right after Christmas. After THAT will be the very hardest good-bye! Happy Monday.
